Good One

Sometimes when I'm in the zone at work I listen to my iPod. That way people know I mean business and won't bother me. So I'm listening this morning on random and up pops some music that I didn't know I had. I admittedly have an eclectic taste in music, I have almost all genres of music on the iPod, hip hop, pop, r&b, alternative, country, whatever, you name it I've got it. Having said that there is one genre I definitely don't have, classical, so how in the hell did Beethoven's 9th Symphony get on my iPod. Either I really missed the mark on some of my music downloading or someone is playing a really weird prank on me.

Side Note: It was pretty good, I might have to get some more classical music, it helps me concentrate and I feel smart when I listen to it.

Beethoven's 9th Symphony is a masterpiece. As soon as you said the name I could hear it in my head.
Very powerful.
My mother loves classical music and I heard it all the time growing up so I can differentiate (sp) between different classical artists. Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Brahms etc.
I have an eclectic love of music too but I pretty much just stick to the radio. I have never really been one to buy cd's or mp3's. I love it all so I don't really see the point on purchasing something when I am happy with whatever is on the radio.

Maybe you were looking for that Robin Thicke song that samples Beethoven and accidentally ended up with the real thing.

...Or Windows sometimes has sample music on it and that could have gotten mixed in with iTunes somehow.

Maybe your I-Pod is possessed by the ghost of Beethoven.

I listen to classical music in the car when I'm in stressful traffic. It really helps keep you relaxed...any other kind of music and I'm pounding the stearing wheel and screaming at people.

Dave, I think you're missing the point of the whole blog.

Check out Bach's Brandenburg Concerto. I always thought I hated classical music until I went to the symphony. And you're right--listening makes me feel very intellectual and makes it a little easier to focus at work.
